As a Capital Campaign Assistant you will support the Duluth Center for Changing Lives (CFCL) Campaign Director and the Duluth Major Gifts Office (MGO) in fundraising efforts. Approximately 75% of the time is spent on campaign work and approximately 25% on general operational fundraising, though there will be some overlap between these two functions. Major responsibilities include general administrative office work, supporting volunteers, assisting in planning and implementation of various donor events, entering and maintaining information in the Raisers Edge database, updating the website and social media, and supporting campaign committee meetings. Major
Responsibilities: Schedule meetings, donor visits, and other appointments for MGO, Campaign Director and other LSS leaders/volunteers as requested. Prepare Materials for meetings for MGO and Campaign Director. Prepare correspondence as needed. Update and maintain Raiser's Edge database, including entry of new donors and prospects. Work with Campaign Director, MGO, and other LSS employees to produce reports as requested. Development Special Events: Recruit, support, and manage volunteer table captains and other volunteers for Duluth fundraising events; provide day-of-event support for all events. Work with Campaign Director and volunteers to schedule, support and implement campaign events, including small group gatherings, CFCL Campaign Committee meetings, press conferences, and other gatherings. Congregational Relations: Work with Campaign Director and Congregational Relations staff to plan and implement the congregational outreach phase of the CFCL campaign. Volunteer Support: Recruit and train volunteers as requested by MGO or Campaign Director. Assist in preparing and distributing invitations, programs, and publicity for development/campaign events. Minimum Requirements: Associate Degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 years of experience, including some experience with nonprofits. 3 years of experience working on research and identification of prospects and special event planning. Must possess excellent written and oral communications abilities. Must have the ability to skillfully communicate with people at all levels within the organization, as well as with donors, prospects, and community members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred. Strong planning, organizing, and execution skills required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
