Port Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a Port Engineer to assist in daily management and maintenance of our fleet of self-unloading bulk carriers.
You will be responsible for the overall engineering management for the vessels assigned, including operation, maintenance, repair, condition and certification.
Port Engineer ResponsibilitiesSchedule and manage voyage repairs, drydockings, and winter layup maintenance and repair periods, including requisitioning and procurement of material and services Ensure that vessels for which s/he is responsible are fully certificated and documented and shall coordinate required vessel inspections by regulatory body inspectors Preparation of annual budgets for spare parts, voyage repairs, major repairs and special expenditures and the fiscal management of assigned vessels within the approved budgets Port Engineer Position RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering from an accredited maritime academy, or equivalent engineering education and discipline US Coast Guard unlimited license as First Assistant Engineer or higher, for steam and/or diesel propelled vessels 5 years of experience sailing aboard Great Lakes or oceangoing commercial vessels, with time as First Assistant and/or Chief Engineer preferred 3 years of experience in vessel operation, maintenance or repair Prior Port Engineer experience or project management of drydockings or conversions a plus Strong communications, analytical and administrative skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
