(or Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) serve in a high impact role, providing support to individuals with disabilities, which include medical complexities, intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and physical disabilities. Every person needs the support of others, and DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who canEUR(TM)t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to oneEUR(TM)s true potential.

DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
Qualifications
Requirements
:
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age
Valid driverEUR(TM)s license in good standing
Six months of experience in human services preferred
Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
