Hocking International is looking for highly qualified agriculture sales professionals for the role of Area Sales Manager.

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for representing Hocking International Laboratories with customers and potential customers in a defined geography. The ASM will be tasked with growing sales of Hocking's products and services, as well as technically supporting the customers. ASMs will be a part of the overall sales organization within Hocking and will report to the VP of Sales & Marketing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
oCultivate relationships and expand business with existing customers.
oIdentify new markets and new accounts for expansion.
oSet and achieve sales objectives.
oDevelop a technical proficiency for Hocking's product and service lines, with an ability to support customers with their first-line technical needs.
oWork as a key member of the sales team; be an active participant in team meetings, ideation sessions, and other team related activities.
oDevelop strong positive relationships within our organization; contribute to a culture of teamwork with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Finance and others.
oRepresent Hocking within the industry at relevant conferences, trade shows and other events.
oStay up to date on industry news, competitive product lines, and pricing trends.
oAny other duties assigned.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
oUniversity degree required. Agriculture or business major preferred.
o5+ years work experience in agriculture sales.
oPrevious experience, knowledge, and contacts working with large agriculture retailers and distributors.
oHighly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
oExcellent communication and organizational skills.
oTravel and work on the road as required. Travel approximately 50%.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
